So pleased to hear this news, I really cannot wait to see the finished product, I am certain it will be of very high quality. Recently bought the book published last week entitled ‘Eagle – Best of the 1950′s’, which is absolutely brilliant, pure nostalgia – would recommend it to any fans, great Xmas present!

I’m feeling so contradictory over this – I want it to be true to the classic Dan Dare (or else why use the name?) but I also expect something new to make it relevant to the modern reader. Not demanding at all, eh :-)? Still, they largely managed to pull off just that trick with the revived Doctor Who, so it can be done.

There were highs and lows with Ennis on Dredd but he’ll probably proceed with a sense of heritage and genuine effort. The character could do with some sort of radical re-shake anyway to raise the project above the status of a batch of reprints — I’ve a feeling that the traditional cover could be leading us into an extremely false sense of security! Hope so…
