Colleagues in FPI’s Edinburgh branch tell me Halloween has occasioned a real run on V For Vendetta masks, with a substantial stockpile of the Fawkesian visages rapidly shrinking throughout today, with several folks standing in line at one point all to buy the masks. Looks like Edinburgh will have more than its fair share of comic book anarchists on the streets tonight. And the great thing is you can then re-use them next week for Guy Fawkes Night parties. Now I have visions of Edinburgh’s streets tonight resembling the finale of the film version of V when huge crowds all wearing the mask and wig takeover London.
