The always-excellent Bat Segundo podcast has Peter Fernandez and Corinne Orr as guests, both actors who have contributed their voices to many a radio show and animated series for television among other roles, including the Speed Racer anime, which is rather timely since IDW have been reviving the old Now Comics version with volume 1 and 2 due out in the New Year while DMP have the Speed Racer Mach Go Go Go box set coming up, plus there’s the big-screen adaptation is in the works. The subjects covered, according to the description of the interview on the Bat Segundo site, include:

“Being referred to as a voiceover artist vs. being referred to as an actor, dubbing foreign films into English, Corinne Orr’s talent for performing little kids, Speed Racer and Marine Boy, female actors who perform as boys, children performing on old-time radio, animation vs. old-time radio… the reasons why the “Huhs” and the “Whas” are fond in anime, a full explanation for the change in voices in Star Blazers’s third season… not getting residuals from Speed Racer, anime festivals, toning down the violence for Speed Racer, the Chim-Chim dynamic, generating sound effects for the American version of Speed Racer, Spritle’s punkass qualities…”
