Here’s a great site supposedly to support the political campaign of one Harold Saxon, now known to be the Doctor’s old nemesis The Master in the current Doctor Who. Some of the fake news pieces are especially good and go nicely with some of the digs at contemporary British politics the recent episode managed to slide in between the action (such as the Cabinet member remarking they had got themselves elected on spin and image, now perhaps they needed some actual policies – sounds very familiar to anyone who reads a paper), while Sharon Osbourne’s video testimonial is hilarious.

I can’t wait to see Life on Mars’ John Simm enthusiastically chewing the scenery in true evil villain mode (and that’s how we like our inter-galactic evil madmen!) for the season finale. And how nice were the little touches for the older fans who remember previous incarnations of the Master and old Who? Lines adapted from older episodes (like Logopolis), the cheeky use of jellly babies and then paying homage to more classic Brit telefantasy with U.N.I.T.’s hovering carrier straight out of Captain Scarlet (I’m sure Gerry Anderson would take that as the compliment it obviously was)? That’s been several cracking episodes back to back and the big finish still to come, with all to play for (even an old-style cliffhanger to the end of last week’s ep!). Still, I can’t help but feel the Master should have a beard…

But who are the little buzzy round Toclafane things?
To quote the Master: “The master said if the doctor knew the truth it would break both his hearts”
