The BBC has offered a glimpse of cartoon versions of David Tennant and Freema Agyeman in animated adventures of the Doctor and new companion Martha. The Infinite Quest is a 13-part animated adventure due to run weekly as part of the second series of Doctor Who Unlimited. Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Anthony Head, who made an appearance in season two of Doctor Who, also lends his voice, playing Baltazar, Scourge of the Galaxy (which sounds more like a Hitchhiker’s Guide character to me). The animation is by Firestep, who contributed to previous Who animations, written by Alan Barnes and directed by Gary Russell. Annoyingly the article on the Beeb’s official Who site doesn’t actually give the dates for Infinite Quest yet, so I guess we’ll all just need to keep checking (which may be the idea).
