Cartoonist Austin English has started a new interview blog where he delves into the mysteries of the creative process with some of comics’ brightest talents. Austin himself has recently had his work nominated for an Ignatz and is close to our heart not only for his fine comics work and his new blog exploring the medium but because he has been a fellow citizen of Forbidden Planet, having worked in the New York Branch. He’s a talented, challenging cartoonist and his blog looks like it will lift the lid more than most on the creative process that goes into creating our favourite medium. If you have an interest in the vibrant Indy comics world you should go and take a look at (and make sure to bookmark) Austin’s new blog, 20 Questions With Cartoonists. Austin has so far talked with Jason Overby, Dylan Williams, Vanessa Davis and Blaise Larmee, so there is already a good crop of interesting articles to catch up on; Austin also has some of his art on display on a seperate blog, WindyCornerMagazine.
