In a two part feature length podcast recorded live at a meeting of the British Science-Fiction Association, Strange Horizon’s Tim Phipps interviews classic Doctor Who producer and writer Terrence Dicks about his work on the show and elsewhere in television and publishing (a legendary figure in Who history to those of us who recall the glories of the Pertwee-Baker era – Joe). Terrence also answers questions from members of the audience such as Paul Cornell, Graham Sleight and Alex Fitch…

(cover to the Target novelisation Doctor Who and the Planet of the Daleks by Terrance Dicks, cover art by Chris Achileos; in the days before video and DVD these were the only way fans could access older stories, I’m sure I still have this very book on my shelves somewhere… Pic borrowed from Pagefillers)

Strip!: Being Dave and working with Alan*, due to air on the 10th on Resonance FM
In our final pair of interviews (before we get to broadcasting more panels) from this year’s Bristol International Comics Expo, Alex Fitch talks to a couple of justifiably revered comic book artists who worked with writer Alan Moore on two of his most famous comic book serials. Dave Gibbons drew Watchmen which is currently being turned into a multi-million dollar blockbuster and has drawn a variety of seminal comics on both sides of the Atlantic from Green Lantern to Dan Dare. David Lloyd drew the anarchic parable V for Vendetta, first published in Warrior Magazine / completed at DC comics and specialises in comic book noir from Night Raven to his recent graphic novel for the French market. Alex talks to both Daves about their careers so far, working on more personal projects such as The Originals and Kickback respectively and what they thought of the Hollywood adaptations of their most famous works…
(*Alex talked to DC / Vertigo editor Karen Berger about this title and she liked it, so blame her!)
