The other day I posted a link to PETA’s top ten animal-friendly superheroes and you might recall I wondered at missing out Hellboy, given not only his love of cats but his rescue of a box of fluffy kittens. Well those of you who dislike moggies look away, those like me who adore them can cheer as Hellboy now slips into that revised list while Batman is nudged out for hitting dogs (animal abuse is a crime, Bruce!). Hitting dogs – bad. Saving kittens – good. My mogs heartily approve. Thanks to Amy at PETA for the update.
(the world’s greates paranormal investigator, Hellboy, and a very cute kitty, Dizzy. A spokesperson for Dizzy said that she wholeheartedly supported Hellboy’s inclusion in the top ten list, before adding the new hardback Hellboy Library books had nice sharp corners for scratching your ears on. If you disagree you make the cute little cat sad)

The dogs were going to bite and hurt Batman, I personally would of shot the F-ing dogs. Im not cruel but I think a human life is just a little more important than a dogs.

That depends very much on the human involved
Beside the original point was that Batman uses all sorts of fighting techniques and ingenious devices to tackle human opponents who are evil villains without killing them but didn’t have any such methods for dealing with the dogs more humanely.
