Surely one of the best half hours of the week was seeing the longest serving Doctor Who star, Tom Baker, guest hosting Have I Got New For You at the weekend? (for those outside the UK, its a satirical topical news quiz). Especially when one question asked what Sarah Palin, Adolf Hitler and Nicolas Sarkozy had in common – the answer was they had all had dolls made of them, at which point Tom whips out the new Tom Baker action figure which I’ve raved about here (and which sits on my desk next to my David Tennant one). Tom seemed especially tickled with the fact his Doctor Who action figure came with interchangeable heads, but then we are talking about the man who enjoys cutting the grass on his own plot in his local church graveyard and who told us gleefully of his time as a monk staring at other monk’s sandalled feet (if you haven’t read his autobiography from a few years back you really should).
