Comics and cartoons

Another little treat from the BoDoï Angoulême special – I think this is another good example of a strip which largely works even if you don’t know any French, you can pick up inferences easily from the expressions and body language alone as the neighbours try to tell some annoyed cops about domestic abuse only to clam up as the neighbours in question appear in the street. Is it just me or does Will Eisner seem even classier in French??
