It’s that time of year again, when the UK comics industry heads to the fair second city for the Birmingham International Comics Show.
This is the event’s third year now and the second at the marvellous Thinktank venue. Last year was good, but this year looks like it will be even bigger and better.
Highlights include appearances from Michael Golden, John Cassaday, Mark Chiarello, Oliver Coipel and a veritable who’s who of the UK comics industry. Of particular interest on the weekend’s packed events schedule is; Tank Girl at 20 with Alan Martin & Rufus Dayglo; a DFC panel; Paul Gravett hosting an incredibly strange comics talk; and a very special event to launch Dave Gibbon’s Watching The Watchmen book.
Birmingham International Comics Show
October 4th & 5th. 10:30-5:30

There’s also a special launch party on Friday night where you can discover just why so many of the professionals look so awful on Saturday morning.

I think the citizens of Glasgow might dispute the ‘second city’ claim :-)
