This is one of those things that Warren Ellis shouts at you about. And whatever you think of Ellis, his choices are always at least interesting. It’s a webcomic of 80 pages written by Kieron Gillen (Phonogram) with art by Charity Larrison.
Busted Wonder was the recipient of the 1st annual Colleen Doran Creator Grant. It’s a sweet magical tale of circuses with a darker undercurrent than most. Well worth a look.
