The one and only Carlos Ezquerra (who has been one of my favourite comics artists since I was a kid) will be the Guest of Honour at British science fiction and fantasy’s annual Eastercon shindig in 2010. The artist, who has worked on numerous strips for a variety of publishers but is probably still best loved for his Strontium Dog work and being one of the most definitive Judge Dredd visualists, will be the GoH at Odyssey 2010 (Clarke fans will get the reference right away, the rest can have it explained to them by a large, black monolith); other guests so far on the list are Iain Banks, Alastair Reynolds, Liz Williams and a writer who straddles the prose and comics worlds with equal adeptness, Mike Carey. Odyssey 2010 will be at the Radisson Edwardian Hotel by London’s Heathrow from April 2nd to 5th, 2010 (“the year we make contact”). (tip of the hat to Ariel for the link)
