Clone Wars premiere

George Lucas has attended the premiere of the GCI animated Star Wars: Clones Wars movie in Los Angeles, with large crowds of fans turning out for the big event. “When I did the last film, Revenge of the Sith, I lamented over the fact that I couldn’t do anything about the Clone Wars because they didn’t really have anything to do with Anakin. That story is just his story, so I thought it would be great to be able to do something a little more open,” explained Lucas. The film opens in the UK and US on August 15th, with an animated TV series following in the autumn; charge your lightsabres up now.
