Alex Fitch, who brings us regular weekly dollops of audio delights (that’s a bit like angel’s delight but less fattening), sends out a reminder that tonight sees a screening of the director’s cut of Dark City. That’s a movie (by Crow director Alex Proyas) which has been in my top twenty favourite films since I first saw it, with no idea what it was about, no advance word of mouth, total surprise and boy was I glad because it was a brilliant, Kafka-esque dark fantasy work which I’ve been back to see many times. The screening will be tonight at the Roxy Bar and Screen, 128-132 Borough High Street, London, starting at 7.30pm and will be introduced and be followed by a session with the film critics from Electric Sheep. And, Alex, adds, its free. Can’t say better than that. Or actually, yes I can, because it also stars the gorgeous Jennifer Connelly too. Oh yes.
