The BBC reports that the Dark Knight, which opens towards the end of July, will be dedicated to the late actor Heath Ledger and effects technician Conway Wickliffe, with “In memory of our friends Heath Ledger and Conway Wickliffe” being added to the end titles. Speaking of the actor, director Chris Nolan said “I needed a phenomenal actor, but he also had to be someone unafraid of taking on such an iconic role.Heath created something entirely original. It’s stunning, it’s captivating. It’s going to blow people away.”
