London’s Centre for Recent Drawing has an upcoming exhibition entitled Diary Drawing about to open; the exhibition takes as its theme a variety of “visual journals and autobiographical graphic novels“, using them to “to examine drawing and diary making as possess’ of thinking and acting fundamental to human nature. Diary Drawing explores the application of line as a means of documenting or transcribing intimate and individual histories to a public audience.” The exhibition runs from the 8th to the 23rd of May and commences with a panel discussion with Paul Gravett and some of the featured artists on the 8th; artists featured include Oliver East, Ariel Schrag, Rutu Modan and Miriam Katin – for full details check the website.
