The BBC reports that Doctor Who was the big winner at the BAFTA Cymru awards in Cardiff last night. The show, produced in Cardiff, picked up six gongs, including Best Drama Series, Best Drama Director and Best Screenwriter, while Torchwood (also BBC Wales production) picked up a single award for Best Costume. Another BBC Wales production, Young Dracula, won the Best Children’s Programme award.

Donna Noble is the most annoying character since Jar Jar Binks. I’m really finding it hard to stick with this series. I’d sooner have seen her Grandad take off with the Doctor, a much more interesting character. The Sontaran storyline is picking up though. Family of Blood is still my favourite story so far, closely followed by Girl in the Fireplace.
