As Peter Griffen might put it. Wim pointed me in the direction of this news – that there is apparently a live-action Smurfs movie planned. As with Alvin and the Chipmunks the film is planned to use live actors with CGI characters (which presumably saves them from having to get a short cast and painting them all blue). I really don’t know what the Smurf to think about this at all… Meanwhile on the Ephemerist Wim has a go (quite rightly) at people who abused the big Smurf giveaway and who are ripping off the UNICEF charity drive using the famous characters.
