I’ve seen the odd link to Katie’s site over the past year or so, but hadn’t really looked at it since I read her first series of very funny cartoons for “History Project” – my how we’ve grown. If you are down in the dumps, bored at work (what! don’t you know there is a credit crunch on? Pull the finger out!) or have an hour where the kids aren’t screaming in your ear and that footie match wasn’t quite as good as you thought it would be, then get to your computer, pour a glass of red and laugh your head off for an hour or so.
(student life, I remember it well… er, well, actually a lot of it is kinda blurred, but this seems pretty right! (c) Kate Beaton)
Now if the Guardian cartoon editor is out there reading this – fire the rest of them and rush to Nova Scotia to get this girl on board – you could help save the British economy. We all know the world is going to hell in a handbasket, but Katie just might save us all by putting a smile back on our faces. Anyway we don’t really need to drive cars, that’s what shoe leather is for. Does anyone know why all the lights just went out on this block…..

Word! these are the best cartoons i’ve seen….i think ever. Lo-Fi-ness reminds me of Jeffrey Brown but she’s funnier and more versitile.
