Kev Sutherland pulls his socks up at Edinburgh

Here in sunny Edinburgh we locals are girding our loins (and indeed loining our girds, you can’t be too careful) for the annual madness we call the Edinburgh Festival to descend upon us. The world’s largest arts festival kicks off in August and between the various festivals and the hundreds and hundreds of different shows going on frankly it can be a struggle to pick out what you actually want to see. So if you are Fringe-bound and still filling in what shows  you want to catch, here’s one for your consideration: Beano contributor Kevin F Sutherland will be in town with the Return of the Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre (as seen at the Bristol comic expo!). Kev says the show will be running at the Gilded Balloon (which seasoned Fringe goers  will know as one of the Fest’s premiere comedy venues) from 8.45 each evening through most of August. It also looks like, as with many Fringe shows, there will be preview evenings before the Fringe proper starts and those usually offer bargain tickets. For full details and tickets it might be worth ignoring the official Fringe website which has had awful problems this year and go straight to the Gilded Balloon’s own site.
