It looks to have been a good night at the International Emmy awards for British productions, with wins in seven categories, with science fiction, time-travelling cop show Life on Mars picking up the Best Drama gong (will the US version be as successful? Surely Harvey Keitel is too short to be Gene Hunt??). Brit animation scored yet another award as Aardman won the Children & Young People category for Shaun the Sheep, adding to the Bristol animation studio’s already impressive haul of international awards (and remember they have a brand new Wallace and Gromit short coming up on the BBC at Christmas to look forward to as well). The very geek-friendly IT Crowd won the Comedy category.
