That shy and retiring Oli Smith and the band at London Underground Comics have an interview on Radio 4′ Word of Mouth series coming up this Tuesday
As Oli writes:
At 4pm on Tuesday 29th of April, the popular radio 4 show about language ‘Word of Mouth’ broadcasts an interview with Oli Smith, Alex Fitch (of Resonance FM) and David Baillie that was recorded in Camden as part of a special episode about the language of comics.

Oli and the gang at London Underground Comics continue to really show the comics world just how easy it is to get a really strong word of mouth movement going. This is just the latest in a series of great publicity they’ve garnered for themselves. And while we’re on the subject of London Underground, a quick reminder to sign up for their No Barcodes event at the link, which is already becoming something of a mini convention in itself (36 confirmed table guests so far).Similarly Alex Fitch & Resonance FM are doing a fine job in helping to spread the modern day gospel of comics far and wide. In these days of super connectedness it should be easy to make your event or your work known to people. And of course, here at FPI we’d be more than willing to help spread the word. Email us at the FPI blog here & don’t forget to include Richard (me, writing this in the third person again, very strange) in your plans as well.
As for the Language Of Comics episode of Word Of Mouth, you can listen to it on the radio, online here,or if you miss it, on the BBC’s ‘listen again’ service.
