March

From the comics calendar sitting on my desk:

John Porcellino March calendar.jpg

This is by the king of the cool cats, John Porcellino, and comes from the very cool comics calendar Richard Krauss at Midnight Fiction kindly sent me at the end of last year (other artists who contributed pics for the months include Hunt Emerson and Sean Azzopardi as well as Richard himself, among others). I was just regarding John’s image for March as I munched my lunch and now that spring has sprung with a sudden lurch back into winter (here we have had sunshine, rain, ice, snow, hail and icy, Arctic winds, sometimes all on the same day) I couldn’t help but think how perfectly it summed up the contrary weather this March. I don’t know about the rest of you but we have had flowers starting to peek out, promising spring in their petals, only to be hit by ice and snow. On the plus side though it gave me a good excuse – if any were needed – to post a neat little bit of John Porcellino art to share with you. (art (c) John Porcellino)
