Long-time friend of the blog Neill Cameron is all excited. Now we know excitement is a fairly normal state of affairs for Neill, especially when he’s forgotten his medication, but he’s extra excited because there’s a spiffing animated trailer now on YouTube for the second series of his Mo-Bot High for the DFC. In fact Neill points out that the DFC folk have actually set up their own channel on YouTube (which you can subscribe to), which so far boasts a DFC launch showreel, Fish Head Steve and Mezolith as well as the Mo-Bot High trailer, with more to follow (hopefully some creator interviews at some point, Neill tells me).

And while you’re surfing Neill has a new blog to go alongside his very fine website, so he can keep readers up to date with his latest work – for example, did you know Neill has been following in the footsteps of Dave Prowse’s Green Cross Code Man, doing his bit to keep school kids safe on the streets, in his case by producing a road safety comic for kids? Neill uses the medium for a council safety campaign, warning kids of unsafe practises on the road, such as the fact that it is unsafe to drive stolen cars through shop windows or do handbrake turns on a busy box junction, regardless of what you see on TV – remember, safety first, kids! No, seriously, Neill’s made a traffic safety comic for a local council, which looks like a good idea to me – all we got on that subject when I was a school kid was the Tufty Club…Hmmm, come to think of it, maybe what we need is a new manga-style Green Cross Code Man for today’s school kids – Neill? Go sell that idea to the government!
