Oli Smith has uploaded his Weekend Friends video – roughly twenty minutes split across three video and recording the events going on around the London Underground Comics, shot more like a short film and more serious in tone than his previous all-singing, all-dancing video offerings which we all like to tease Oli about but nevertheless all enjoy (and we love the fact it not only promotes Indy comics creators, it makes the whole scene look fun). Its about twenty minutes, but its worth going and having a look; as I said its very different in tone to the previous videos but its also very interesting. If you feel like something brighter after it then go to the last LUC video which not only sees a bunch of the Camden crew strutting their stuff and dancing in public, it also features one of our best comics authorities, Paul Gravett, shaking his booty! We knew Paul was an expert on all things comics but we didn’t know he danced; rumours that Paul and the LUC crew are putting together a team for the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing are so far unconfirmed.
(Paul Gravett struts his funky stuff while Sean Azzopardi takes a break from filming a sequel to Reservoir Dogs. He’s Mr Magnolia)
