I’ve been quite enjoying the second season of ITV’s Primeval, which seems to have kicked things up a notch since the first season – the inclusion of background story arcs involving the present having been altered and the scientists questioning the morality of the government maintaining secrecy over the temporal incursions even though members of the public have died is taking it away from the ‘monster of the week’ approach, which may be fun but has a limited shelf life. Good news for fans – a new range of Primeval action figures has now been announced – yes, you can now have your very own Abby Maitland (the impishly cute Hannah Spearit) figure! There are several figures in this first wave, each coming with a different creature which has come through the temporal anomaly.
