Not quite Fortean Times material, I know, Richard, but I reviewed both East's Trains Are…Mint and Jackson's Train To Shanghai on October 9th – but five years apart! (Mint this year; Shanghai in 2003 - www.smallscrutinies.blogspot.com/.) Both creators are certainly on the same – ahem – track!

Incidentally, an Irish bloke – Eugene Dillon – has been doing little cycling travelogues on-and-off for years, most recently in the pages of Loserdom (www.loserdomzine.com). Must confess, I do take a vicarious pleasure in reading these sorts of things; even the fictional loner treks of Mauretania and Through The Habitrails (I'm showing my age now). Perfect for the stuck-indoors agoraphobic!
