After what seems like forever, one of the last links in the chain of continuity through the years that runs from Titan distributors through Diamond Comics UK, Pat Sullivan, leaves the company today. I’ve personally dealt with Pat for over 20 years – and some times it has felt like it; you end up talking to each other in a way that old couples are purported to bicker – and I for one will be very sad to see him go.
I know many people have a number of problems and gripes with Diamond but for the most part we have found them to be a reliable and conscientious partner for us as retailers. The mainstay of our business for many years was Superhero comics and with only the very occasional glitch they have done a tremendous job through both iterations of the company – one I personally think would be a tough act to beat.
Nowadays more of the business is run by email and electronic systems but all those who have been at FPI have had many years of Pat as our interface with the company. He has always put himself out to sort problems rather than just talk about doing so – and always had the best interests of the UK comics retailing community at heart – although he would no doubt deny it.
So Pat, thanks for the last 20 years, from myself and I hope all other UK retailers who know you, I hope you have great adventures to come and many a success (get that camera working). We’ll all miss you, you were part of what comics was for us all for a long, long time.
So long you wanker (oops slipped into that bickering tone again).

Hey Pat – I’ve only known (well, I say known – spoken to you and been abused on email/phone
) you for the last 8-9 years or so – but it really has been fun 
I’ll miss you – fellow Rammstein fans are hard to find.
