The great Ray Bradbury talks to Steve Wasserman, editor of the LA Times book review section, discussing not only Ray’s considerable work and influence across the decades but the perilous state of independent bookstores, literary reviews (the aforementioned LA Times is apparently dropping a separate book review section after many years), the poor health of literacy in many school children and encouraging new writing and reading, both subjects close to my heart. Truthdig has both video clips of the interview and a complete transcript.
