Sean offers enlightenment

Turning over the pages on my wee desktop comics calendar from Midnight Fiction (thanks, Richard K) I find that the month of June comes courtesy of one of Britain’s very fine small press creators, Sean Azzopardi. And it looks very much like he’s reached a state of graceful Enlightenment. Perhaps it will impart some spiritual insights and peace to me this month, the nearest I normally get to Enlightenment is reading books on the 18th century cultural and scientific revolution. Sorry, too early in the week for obscure history jokes?

And sticking with a Sean theme you should check out both his blog and this site where he and Daniel Merlin Goodbrey have posted up a look at their new ‘spy horror thriller’ Necessary Monsters, which has a nice, moody look and feel to it. One to bookmark and watch, I suspect.

If you haven’t already read Sean Azzopardi’s Twelve-Hour Shift, I strongly recommend you do.
