Dan Goldman tells me that his and Anthony Lappé’s excellent Shooting War (one of my top graphic novels for last year) will be heading towards continental Europe in the near future. Ponent Mon, known here for their partnership with Fanfare to bring us translated versions of some fascinating foreign language graphic novels, will be handling a Spanish version of Shooting War, while Dan also mentioned that a French publisher should be taking on the book later this year too. Shooting War got some very good mainstream coverage in the UK and US when it came out last November and its the sort of clever (and artistically inventive) work dealing with contemporary issues that I imagine should get a pretty decent reception with European readers.
