Slave Labor Graphics are opening Boutiki, “an art gallery and pop culture boutique” in San Jose’s Market Street on Friday December 5th. Boutiki will display comics art, host events and signings and, of course, sell graphic novels, prints and merch including all of the SLG range. The December 5th opening will include a show by Evan Dorkin, J.R. Goldberg, James Turner, Camilla d’Errico, Lesley Reppetaux, S. Eddy Bellows and Evan Waldinger. Good luck to the SLG team with this new venture and let’s hope it does as well as other recent publishers who have developed their own stores/galleries such as Fantagraphics.
