Ryan Smith from the wonderfully-named Slinky Pictures dropped me a line – Slinky have a couple of their animated works nominated in the shortlist for the British Animation Awards. “Talented Mouse” was done for the Channel E4/Channel 4 Fonejacker series, with animation by Kevin Frostick, Inna Phillamore and Jason Guest as well as Leigh Hodgkinson and produced by Slinky’s MD Maria Manton. Their Olay Line is also nominated in the best commercial category, with animation by Suzanne Deakin and Martin Oliver, with Maria producing again, while they also contributed to the BAFTA-winning Wrong Trainers series.

Ryan points me towards Slinky’s site, which is the main reason I’m posting this because its a lovely site with plenty of nice little snippets for you to watch and explore, from clips of the nominated animations to the titles for the recent Brit film Hallam Foe. Its a Flash site so I can’t give direct links to specific scenes, you’ll need to go to the main site and just explore, but its well worth it as there are clips from various broadcast, web, music video and other animations to enjoy, including material from one of my personal favourites, Monkey Dust.
