I am amazed at the way he captures a moment - you know how the camera does a sort of retake and suddenly there is a figure just standing there and in Japanese movies it's scary, but in US remakes it looks daft? Well, somehow he manages to draw that moment and it shouldn't work because it's a drawing, but it somehow does. Maybe you are right Katherine, it somehow seeps in.
