As all the living presidents settle down for a private luncheon and chat Dan Goldman offers readers a chance to have a preview of twenty pages from his new work 08: a Graphic Diary of the Campaign Trail: “Stylistically a mashup of sequential narrative and graphic design, 08 is a documentary-in-comics of this historic and magical election we’re all still buzzing from, as seen from reporters’ perspective on the campaign trail.” Dan kindly gave me a peek a few weeks ago and, as anyone who has read some of Dan’s work before might expect, it is pretty damned interesting, so please do go and take a look. The graphic novel is released towards the end of this month; Dan recently shared his faves of 2008 with us for the Best of the Year, which you can read here and he has recently returned to his continuing inventive online strip Kelly on Act-I-Vate.
