(Peace of War by and (c) Daniela E Gellan and Franck Villeneuve)
Updating my own Flickr photos at the weekend I had a browse around and in one of those meandering but amiable ways I somehow ended up looking at a Flickr by a contact of a contact, which lead me to this image by Daniela E Gellan. Which in turn lead me to the entire comic, which it tranpired was created for a Francophone version of 24 Hour Comics Day. Since we’ve covered 24 Hours comics creation several times here before I thought it might be interesting to have a look at 24 Heures de la Bande Dessinee for a change – especially as Daniela’s Peace of War (created with Franck Villeneuve) is wordless and so perfect reading regardless of language. I do like how some idle web browsing can just through up nice little surprises like this. And its a site which goes on giving – check out the 24 Heures de la Bande Dessinee site and you’ll find pages of entries from a number of amateur and professional comics creators (including Lewis Trondheim – see below) to browse; go and enjoy.
