The 2009 2D comics festival in Northern Ireland will take place this summer from the 4th to the 6th of June. David Campbell tells us that the site has just been updated and guest confirmed so far include David Lloyd, Liam Sharp, Mike Collins, David Hine, Garry Leach, Rufus Dayglo, D’ Israeli, Declan Shalvey, Andie Tong, Staz Johnson, Phil Barrett and Bridgeen Gillespie; there will be the usual signings, panels and dealer’s stalls as well as school and public workshops (which seems to be an increasing part of many of the better, more community oriented comics cons and which no doubt helps raise the profile of the medium). And there’s more good news – 2D is still free to the public; winner!
