Comics and cartoons

Dinosaur Gardens offers up a whole delightful bunch of mid 1940s comics treats in the shape of Culture Corner by the great Basil Wolverton, which ran in Whiz Comics. There’s a whole ton of them, featuring Croucher K Conk, Q.O.C. (Queer Old Coot) explaining the correct, ‘cultured’ way to get around everyday problems and tasks, from crossing a busy street (above) to how to kick someone in the teeth and how to eat crackers in bed. Brilliant. (via Boing Boing)
