Following hot on the heels of the biggest comics convention in the country comes something a little smaller. This week sees the first Birmingham Zine Fest (well, the first one for a while anyway):
“What with our love for all things Zine….Gallery of Owls presents: All You Can Eat Zine. Thursday 15th October, 8pm-late, The Sunflower Lounge, Birmingham. A night of Zines, comics, small press, music and performance!
Inspired by our friends at ‘Alternative Press‘ in London, we’d like to invite all you Midlands creators to come and bring along your goods. There will be space for you to sell, swap and advertise your Zines/Comics/Small Press/Merch.”
The Sunflower Lounge is just up the road from Nostalgia & Comics, which has it’s own little small press section for your consideration – why not pop into there before heading to the zine fest and taking in the likes of Lizz Lunney, Marc Ellerby, Adam Cadwell, Howard Hardiman, Paul Rainey et al?
