The boys from the Dwarf – Chris Barrie, Robert Llewellyn, Craig Charles and Danny John-Jules – pose in front of probably the most famous fictional pub in the UK, Coronation Street’s Rover’s Return as part of the Red Dwarf: Return To Earth two-part special which will air on digital channel Dave over the Easter weekend (Charles, of course, has been a regular on the Street). After years of fale promises that a new series was just about to start shooting (or that a film version was just a few weeks away from starting production) finally some new Dwarf. yes, the guys are looking a bit older but it has been years since the last series and I suspect most of us have gotten a bit older too so I’m not throwing any stones on that score. The boys were also spotted at They Walk Among Us in Richmond where they discover that on this Earth RD is just a TV show and shops like TWAU sell RD models etc. Not only did my son get to see this but he also got to play “boy with large headphone” in a brief street scene. His friend came prepared with an Ace Rimmer t-shirt and Lister-like dreadlocks. Cast were impressed.
