I’m sure more than a few of you are fans of the gorgeous Caroline Munro, one of the great ladies of British SF and fantasy film, always bringing some delectable glamour to films from At The Earth’s Core to James Bond’s The Spy Who Loved Me (and I’m sure she must have been one of my earliest celeb crushes, probably before I even knew what a crush was). Jon Haward reminisces on his blog about meeting Caroline in person at a memorabilia show back in 1997; like me (and I imagine many of you), Jon had grown up watching Caroline in her many movies, so it was a treat to meet her. He mentioned he was a comics creator and illustrator and the conversation turned to the idea of using Caroline’s considerable fantasy following in the form of a comic. Jim Alexander wrote a short pitch for it, Jon pencilled a couple of pages and John Stokes inked them. Sadly the project never progressed, but Jon’s found the original art and posted it up on his blog for all to enjoy:
