The brilliant Chris Ware has created the cover for volume 108 of respected literary journal Granta, which has a theme based around the Windy City, Chicago. Ware, as ever, has produced a lovely, deceptively simple, clean piece of illustration; I think it has a nice, fairly timeless quality to it – I could easily imagine replacing ‘Granta’ with ‘Life’ and seeing this on a 50s mag cover (thanks to Kenny for spotting it):
