Christian Bale, who must be one of the hardest working actors in Hollywood (he seems to appear in so many films), talks to the BBC ahead of the UK release of Terminator: Salvation about the film and also (very briefly) about that infamous tirade he directed to a member of the film’s crew at one point during production (which to be fair he has apologised for and described as ‘inexcusable’). As well as the text interview there’s a brief video one too:
“I’d never imagined being in a Terminator film myself, or that any more would be made. It was a long process of different meetings and ideas being put around and they started writing on a whole new script. They originally wanted me to play Marcus, who in many ways is the most dynamic character in Salvation. But I just always had a desire to play John Connor because of the mythology.
And hopefully if people have an appetite for this movie and they give us the thumbs-up and we get to make some more, I foresee some really interesting storylines and things that I can get to do, playing the guy who is meant to be the saviour of mankind .”
