Mind you, this isn't confined to the comics market, the mainstream books publishing is the same. For every Arturo Perez Reverte or Jostein Gaarder who crosses over successfully into English translation there are huge selling books which sell in French, German, Spanish and Italian but for some reason don't make it into English...
