Okay, the Comica festival happens all the way through November and full details are up at the Comica website. But here’s a recent announcement we wanted to share with you.
Just confirmed is the news that Eddie Campbell (Alec, From Hell) will be in conversation with Scottish pioneer of stand-up comedy, Arnold Brown at Comica on Saturday 7 November between 7pm and 9pm. More details here…
Eddie’s reaction?: “Brilliant. That’s somebody I’d like to meet, but I should be interviewing HIM.”
Eddie Campbell “in conversation” with alt-comic Arnold Brown is certainly an unusual choice but seeing as Brown’s a wonderful comedian and Campbell’s well known as a great raconteur it might well be an unmissable experience.
Also, if you pop to the newsagent today, you’ll be able to pick up a copy of the Observer and find out which incredibly talented artist won this year’s Observer/Jonathan Cape/Comica Graphic Short Story Prize.
Previous winners:
2007: Catherine Brighton.
2008: Julian Hanshaw. (Observer announcement)
