Comics and cartoons

ICV2 reports that comics scribe Mark Sable was detained by security goons at LAX as he tried to board a flight to New York for a signing at Jim Hanley’s Universe. When officials found the script for Unthinkable #1, which included references to 9/11, the war on terror and a repressive police state, they got even more unfriendly, with Mark commenting that they seemed to be: “having a hard time understanding that a comic book could be about anything other than superheroes, let alone that anyone actually wrote scripts for comics”. Thank goodness we have such vigilant people in charge of our day to day security, bravely stopping comics writers or even adding children to no-fly lists to protect us all. I feel safer already.
