I notice as I flick through the digital airwaves that the normally rather staid BBC Radio 3 has gone rather cartoony for their Composers of the Year feature – Handel, Purcell, Haydn and Mendelssohn all executed in a comic book style. Suddenly I am thinking there is an opportunity there for someone to do an LOEG style team up of famous composers… I wonder who drew them? And is it just me or does Purcell here look a little like Steve Coogan?
