Recently we mentioned the Coxias de Caxias comics event in Brazil (see here), which my chum Marko Ajdaric of the comics site Neorama has been busy organising. Now Marko tells me that with new material arriving from global comics creators (and more is welcome – contact him at neoramaqq@hotmail.com if you wish to talk about taking part) he’s been busier as they exhibit artist’s work in the windows of the O Livreiro bookstore and try to show off comics art not just to readers coming in to exhibitions and store but to make people in the street aware of it.

The first three artists to be displayed are: “Giuseppe Scapigliati, the main editor of the excellent blog Balloons, with his ‘Vincenzina’ charcter that is ‘present’ at the Worldwide Comic Expo (as well as in the 2º Coxias de Caxias) through the anthology stRRRippit! , that features good new (and known) Italian artists of humour in short stories.
Roman Tolici, from Romania, one of the great surprises of our Worldwide Comic Expo. Away from being exhibited here, Tolici is having the honour to see his art exposed in the traditional way, in a gallery in Berlin, this month
From Caxias do Sul, Zambi, (who has drawn the art of Coxias de Caxias). He will be featured in Coxias de Caxias in 3 different collective magazines, specially, in Grande Clã, a wonderful surprise from Goiânia.”
