The remains of a Dalek have been found in a pond in Hampshire by volunteers clearing it out. Worry not, it isn’t the sign of a new invasion (visions of the Dalek which emerges from under the water of the river in the 60s Dalek Invasion of Earth), its thought it might be leftover from BBC filming in the 80s in the area. “We’ve dredged up everything from shopping trolleys, toys, and bicycles. But this is the first time a Dalek’s appeared,” remarked pond warden Tony Brown. (the Telegraph via Gallifrey One’s Who news page)

They got there in the nick of time: clearly the Dalek was in the process of reassembling itself using shopping trolleys, toys and bicycles.

UPDATE: Experts currently suspect foul play, local police wish to question a man witnessed behaving suspiciously in the area. He is described as about six feet tall with dark touseled hair and a brown trenchcoat. The suspect was last seen entering a large blue box shortly before dissappearing.

Haha i think i would actually have a heart attack if i managed to pull that out of a pond! Was it just the head or was the body under there somewhere too?

You would think that if the BBC were as hard up as they make out, they would at least try to make some money by selling off their props, rather than dumping it in the local pond and costing the public more money!
